James Jones re-joined Architectus as Design Principal in 2010 having first worked for the practice from 2001 to 2002. During his early tenure at Architectus, James was co-design principal on the competition winning design for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art.
During 2007 to 2008 James was the president of the Tasmanian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects and is currently adjunct professor at the School of Architecture, University of Tasmania.
He has tutored at the University of Technology, Sydney and lectured and critiqued studio work over a number of years at the University of Tasmania. His work has been widely published and exhibited. In recent years James has practiced at Morris-Nunn & Associates and most recently as director at HBV Architects in Hobart.
He brings to Architectus wide expertise in the design and delivery of various building types across the public, institutional, educational, industrial, hospitality, infrastructure and residential sectors.
