The Architectus and Ingenhoven Architects designed 1 Bligh Street, Sydney, was officially opened on Tuesday 30 August 2011 by the Prime Minister of Australia the Honourable Julia Gillard MP and building co-owners DEXUS Property Group, DEXUS Wholesale Fund and Cbus Property.
The 6 Star Green Star twenty-seven level elliptical office building with double skin glass facade and full height central atrium is a significant and spectacular new addition to the harbour city's skyline.
Ray Brown, Director of Architectus Sydney, said: "the completion of Bligh Street is a major milestone for Architectus aligning our passion for creating contemporary work spaces, sustainable architecture and intelligent urban design. 1 Bligh sets a new benchmark for sustainable high rise and revitalises the narrative of the office tower for the 21st Century."
