Architectus acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work.

We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

Public

Public buildings are at the heart of our communities. Enduring civic spaces such as museums, theatres, libraries, and courts have the potential to enrich people’s lives for generations to come.

Our Public team engages deeply with the purpose of each project, guided by a respect for the surrounding culture, community, and landscape.

This sector is part of our Communities portfolio, which responds to the increasing overlap between public spaces, urban renewal, and learning campuses. We design and deliver complex and varied projects reflecting an alignment of function and form, including the multi-award-winning State Library Victoria Redevelopment, the internationally significant Art Gallery of NSW Sydney Modern building, and the future renewal of the Powerhouse Ultimo museum in Sydney.
