Macquarie Park Plan Review

Macquarie Park Plan Review

Architectus was commissioned by the City of Ryde Council to review the planning framework and delivery mechanisms for Macquarie Park’s proposed roads and open space. The review integrates the planning, funding and implementation mechanisms for the proposed infrastructure required to support anticipated growth in the Macquarie Park Corridor.

Through close consultation with Council and landowners, an urban design strategy was developed to refine the DCP’s fine grain road network as well as to create a series of generous open spaces and a string of recreational attractor opportunities bringing increased amenity, character and utility to the workers and residents of Macquarie Park.

In collaboration with HillPDA, a delivery mechanism and planning framework were recommended and a suite of plans and guidelines are being developed to assist landowners and Council through the development application process.

This long term planning strategy will assist Macquarie Park in maturing to become a well-connected higher density, vibrant location to work, live and study, served by three new rail stations.
