Long Bay Village Centre

Long Bay Village Centre

The Village will be the focal point of the Long Bay experience providing a new coastal destination and place to live and work.

The design works with the site’s unique and challenging topography to develop a morphology which optimizes the site’s aspect and views.

The manipulation of levels and topography allows for a range of open spaces and connected village zones.

The proposal incorporates a full service supermarket, a retail focused main street with 15 tenancies, a food and beverage destination and commercial opportunities with residential uses above.

A main street, enclosed retail courtyard, a central civic plaza space and park edge open space provide for a generous and high quality public realm.

The plan has been described as “A vibrant retail heart and meeting place that brings the Long Bay community together. It will define the character of Long Bay and carry a uniqueness that is relevant to its seaside location.”

The village will represent the high standard of Long Bay as an attractive place to live, and encourage visitors to experience a highly desirable new community.
