Shelani Perera

Shelani is a registered Architect with over 14 years of industry experience. She is a versatile architect with experience in a broad range of project sectors including social infrastructure, residential, commercial, master planning and urban design with a particular emphasis in transport infrastructure in the recent past.

Shelani has played lead roles in major infrastructure projects in Australia and overseas, specialising in heavy rail, light rail, and transport interchange design. Her pragmatic solutions driven approach to achieve project outcomes are supplemented by her strengths in design, space planning and people skills to effectively integrate disciplines in high risk and complex projects environments.

Her contribution to the practice is in many aspects focusing on leading projects, compliance and governance. Further she takes a keen interest in the advancement of young architects as an active AIA mentor.
