Severin Soder

Severin has been with Architectus since 2005. After his graduation from the University of Innsbruck in Austria he completed a post graduate Masters Degree at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London under the direction of Peter Cook.

Severin then spent 8 years in a number of highly regarded architectural firms in Europe: Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes/Paris, Skidmore Owings & Merrill/London and lately as a project leader at Future Systems/London and Baumschlager-Eberle/Austria.

Since his relocation to New Zealand Severin has played an integral role in the design teams of many of our built projects, master plans and design competitions.

Severin’s creativity, communication and presentations skills, organisational talent and broad knowledge in a variety of sectors benefit him in providing design leadership for multi disciplinary teams, coordinating consultants and effectively liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Severin enjoys working across a variety of projects types and scales - ranging from the house to the city. He has a particular interest in infrastructure, multi-unit residential and office buildings. Severin shares Architectus’ commitment to design enquiry and environmental sustainability and regularly attends design crits at The University of Auckland.
