Malcolm Bowes

A registered Architect with over 30 years professional experience Malcolm Bowes was a founding principal of Architectus with Patrick Clifford and Michael Thomson in 1986.

Malcolm has been responsible for managing key client relationships, coordinating project resources on most of the large scale public projects undertaken by the Auckland offices and for administering the day to day operations of the practice. In this role he has complemented Patrick Clifford’s design leadership and Michael Thomson’s technical skills.

Malcolm has extensive experience in the co-ordination of project teams for civic and public architecture. Recent projects include the award winning St Andrews College Centennial Chapel, that due to its heritage and location, has attracted a great deal of public interest.

Malcolm has recently been a member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects/Master Builders Joint Contracts Committee reviewing the NZIA Standard Conditions of Contract and the committee reviewing the NZIA Agreement for Architect Services.
