Architectus is a proud supporter of the national and international associations that strive to promote design excellence and advance professional practice in architecture and planning.

Architectus projects have been honoured with over 100 national and international awards, from the Australian Institute of Architects, the New Zealand Institute of Architects and the Planning Institute of Australia, as well as awards from various specialist industry sectors.

Architectus is a proud supporter of the national and international associations that strive to promote design excellence and advance professional practice in architecture and planning.

Our Design Directors have made major contributions to the advancement of design and have been appropriately recognised by their national institutes.  Patrick Clifford FNZIA has served as National President of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and is a recipient of the NZIA Gold Medal, the highest honour for a New Zealand architect.

Elizabeth Watson-Brown is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and has served on State Council and State and National Architecture Awards Juries. James Jones FRAIA has served as Tasmanian President of the Australian Institute of Architects and as National Councillor. All three hold Adjunct Professorships at leading universities.

Other Directors and Principals contribute strongly to Boards of Architecture, Institutes of Architects and Institutes of Planning through roles on professional committees and registration panels and contributions as expert advisors and senior counsellors. We also contribute support to eight leading universities through Adjunct Professorships or through regular teaching contributions.

Some projects, like 1 Bligh Street, Sydney, have won major plaudits for multiple reasons. Its awards include three state awards and two prestigious national awards from the AIA in different categories for commercial and sustainable architecture and four international awards, including the very prestigious CTBUH  award for Best Tall Building - Asia & Australasia, and The International High Rise Award – Best High Rise Building.

Architectus projects across every sector of our practice folio have been recognised by our peers for their design excellence.
